About the Artist

Jerzy "Jotka" Kędziora (b. 1947, Częstochowa, Poland) is an internationally acclaimed sculptor, painter, designer, and educator, recognised as one of the few artists in the world who has mastered the discipline of balancing sculptures — kinetic works that exist in perfect, natural equilibrium without mechanical assistance.

He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and the author of numerous monuments, public artworks, and sculptural interventions. Over the course of his career, he has participated in nearly 500 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, receiving multiple awards and distinctions.

From the earliest stages of his artistic journey, Kędziora explored the relationship between stability and motion, drawing inspiration from human psychology, physical tension, and the volatility of contemporary existence. This research led him to develop his signature balancing sculptures — a body of work that brought him international recognition and positioned him as a pioneer within kinetic figuration.
